I’ve never seen a sunrise so beautiful as the one I saw this morning.
Except for maybe yesterday.
As the weary night surrenders it’s hold, the radiant sun paints the sky in vivid orange, red, yellow and gold.
Electricity pulses inside of the clouds that linger distantly on the horizon as lightning strikes miles out to sea.
Once turbulent waves have traveled across the ocean and now softly kiss the shore. In staggered lines, birds of prey swiftly skim the water’s surface.
It’s quiet, save for the sounds of nature. The sun has reclaimed its domain on the world and pushed away the gray clouds.
The sky transforms to blue and the air tastes salty. I look out to sea and wonder at the possibilities of today.
Yes, I’ve never seen a sunrise so beautiful as the one I saw this morning.
Except for maybe tomorrow.
